8. Chlamydial:

These are the bacterial forms related to infections from sexually transmitted diseases. Trachoma is a form of chlamydial infection that causes scarring on the eye’s surface.

Home treatment is the best way to get rid of pink eye problem as it will reduce your pain in non-chemical ways.

If an infection takes place in your eyes then a warm and moist compress may feel better for you. In case of allergy, using cool compress can give assistance to your eye. When you are using warm compresses try to use different compressor as it is contagious.

It you use contacts lens, remove it at the time of your problem. Instead of using contact lens you should use glasses.

Clinical treatment:

If you are infected by bacterial pink eye, doctors may prescribe antibiotic eye drops. For children and adult it is best to use eye ointment rather using eye drops. Ointment can cause blurring of vision. The blur vision can stay around for about 30 minute. You must follow your doctor’s instructions and must complete the full dosage of the anti-biotic.

If you are affected by viral pink eye problem then there are many antiviral medications which can by prescribed by the doctor.

If you are affected by allergic problem, your doctor’s first concern will be to control allergic reactions. It can include antihistamines and mast cell stabilizer or steroids and anti-inflammatory drops.
