One of the most horrifying pains I can recall is the pain of sinus infection. The inflammation caused by sinus infection causes a break to your daily life. I am a true sufferer of this problem. Symptom that I actually have is pain around the nose and the eyes. The free space around the nose, eyes or cheeks are lined with membranes that produces mucus.

What is sinus infection?

Sinus is a space in the skull which makes the skull light. This sinus is for the beneficial of human. In medical term sinus infection is known as sinusitis. There are 4types of sinus present in the skull. They are frontal, maxillary, spenoidal and ethmoidal sinus. Maxillary sinus infection is more common from rest of them.

Causes for sinus infections:

Dust in air;

Colds and flu infection;

Food allergies;

Too much dairy consumption;

You would be surprised to know that now-a-days 60-70% people are suffering from this pathetic problem. Many people who experience sinus infections seem to suffer from many other health issues repetitively in year. Each person gallops medicine when they have a sinus inflammation problem. But as sinus infection occur frequently then one need to take the home remedies to cure their problem.

For me there are many solutions which through you can find peace of this hitch. Let’s hope that you will find it essential to reduce your sinus inflammation.

CITRUS TEA:

When you are making a tea just do some extra work by putting a lemon or orange. Don’t put it in whole just slice the orange or lemon then let it reduce in the boiling tea water. Then add 1tsp of sugar at the boiling stage. Then drink 1 cup of tea twice a day.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:

This is a famous remedy for everyone I guess. Mix together 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and 5 oz of water. If you want you can add honey to increase your taste. Boil it in stove then gallop like tea. I have tried it many times and it’s very effective.

LEMON:

This is an idiotic idea for me. But my sister does it often. She cuts a piece of lemon and then rubbed it in both her nostrils. It’s done. She told after applying that her sinus is cleared. I really have no idea how but I tried once and she was right. Though you can relief through this quite for a little time but it’s totally depends on you.

BAKING SODA & GRAPE SEED EXTRACT:

You will need Neti pot to put the solution. You will find it in drug stores. If you can’t find any Neti pot then use air tight zipped bag. Fill your solution in it then make a tiny hole in the corner of the bag. Then eject all the air out of it and drip the solution through your nose. Now come to the making of solution; Mix together 1 tsp of salt. Use superfine salt. And add a small pinch of baking powder and 7 or 8 drops of grapefruit seed extract. If you want you can add about 1tsp water. Now use it as a drop twice a day. Use it to that time when your sinus problem is less. I always keep the bottle with me. It’s very funny to hear but it’s effective for me.

OREGANO OIL:

Some people just got mesmerized after hearing oregano oil to use as a sinus infection. But for me works like an antibiotic. Take a bottle of water then add 20 drops of oregano oil and shake it well. Then sip it with mouthful thrice a day. Believe me it works like a magic. I continued this method 3 month like an antibiotic course. Now I have a less sinus problem. Take a gap of one month whenever you are using it as a course of 3 months.

ONION:

Take a onion and boil it in 1 liter of water. Then take the boiling water and cover your head with towel so that the fumes will relieve your sinus.

WHISKY:

Take 3 tbsp of whisky and then go to bed. Next morning you will find that your sinus problem is gone. Whisky helps to loosen up your mucus which lives in the empty space around the nose and eyes.

STEAM:

steaming can be done with any kind of solution. But I am telling only 2 of its which I tried a many times:

(a) Take a big bowl with boiling hot water than add with it 3 cloves of minced garlic and 4 dashes of cayenne pepper. Then lean over the big bowl and cover your head and inhale the steam for about 15 minutes.

(b) Another way is to add in the hot water some menthol. Menthol has a clearing mint effect agent which gives you relief in your sinus problem. If you do not have menthol then add some Vicks vapor rub in your hot water. May this will help you to give you relief from sinus problem.
